About ConvertCabin

Why we built this

ConvertCabin started from a simple frustration: nearly every "free online converter" makes you upload your files to a stranger's server, wait in a queue, dodge fake download buttons, and hope your private documents aren't being kept. For something as routine as turning a HEIC photo into a JPG, that is a lot to give up.

So we built the opposite. Every tool on ConvertCabin runs entirely inside your browser. When you drop in a file, it is read by JavaScript running on your own machine, processed locally, and offered back to you as a download. It never travels across the internet. There is no upload, no account, no daily limit, and nothing for us to store or leak.

How it works

Because the work happens on your device, the tools keep working even if you lose your connection after the page loads, and they handle files of any size without a server choking on them. It also means we can offer everything for free — there is no expensive file-processing infrastructure to pay for, just a small static website.

What we cover

ConvertCabin covers image, audio, video, document, data, and 3D-model formats — converting, compressing, resizing, merging, and more. We add tools based on what people actually search for and keep the explanations plain enough to be useful whether you are a developer or someone who just needs a PNG.

How we keep it free
