How it works
ConvertCabin runs a small open-source segmentation model (U²-Net) with onnxruntime-web inside this browser tab. It predicts which pixels are the subject, turns the rest transparent, and hands the cutout straight back to you. Nothing is uploaded.
The first image downloads the model and runtime (about 15 MB), which your browser caches, so later images are quicker and even work offline.
Keeping or replacing the background
Once the subject is cut out you have three choices, and switching between them is instant because it doesn't re-run the model: Transparent exports a PNG with a see-through background, Colour fills a solid backdrop, and Image places your own photo behind the subject. It's an automatic, lightweight model, so fine edges like hair won't be pixel-perfect — clear subjects on a contrasting background work best.
